The Space Between
The space between two hearts in love-
A maddening mystery to me
For inch nor mile seems enough
I need some space but please don’t leave
At night you pull me close to sleep
I make an excuse to get up
Guilt devours me for I see
The space between to hearts in love
I know deep down you’re who I want
But sometimes I feel I can’t breathe
Why then this ache when we’re apart?
A maddening mystery to me!
Days like this when we disagree-
won’t compromise at any cost.
Distance ourselves, nothings achieved
for inch nor mile seems enough.
A battle without any budge,
maybe we just need time to think;
I choose you, and I won’t give up
I need some space but please don’t leave.
What if I had simply agreed
If I had simply held my tongue
Why is it people always leave?
Maybe I have somehow misjudged
the space between two hearts in love.
