Emerald grass kissed by morning dew
a bright, but serene sunrise just ahead
glorious gold embracing reds and orange.
Breathing in air untouched by smog
viridescent trees create oxygen just for me.
A chair quietly rocking, hot cup of coffee in hand
I enjoy this view more than anything
it brings me peace.
Some mornings I loudly groan
don’t want to leave the bed that wraps me in it’s warmth
it’s comfort is almost unsurpassable.
But as I rub the sleep from my eyes
I remember there is someone waiting for me.
Mr. Sun is rising as I am
nothing beats his beauty.
So I rise, knowing I don’t want to miss this view.
